Senior legal counsel

- Advise management on legal, regulatory and compliance matters related to school operations; - Manage licensing, permits, regulatory approvals and related communications with authorities; - Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with applicable requirements; - Provide legal support on admissions, tuition, student matters, school policies and privacy; - Draft, review and negotiate commercial, employment and operational agreements; - Handle employment, corporate and governance matters, including resolutions and powers of attorney; - Identify legal risks, provide practical advice and manage disputes and sensitive legal matters; - Supervise and support the Junior Lawyer and coordinate with external counsel and the EBC Legal Office when required. - Law degree from a recognized university; - 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house or in a reputable law firm; - Strong experience in licensing, regulatory matters and compliance; - Solid knowledge of corporate, commercial and employment law; - Strong contract drafting, review and negotiation skills; - Experience working with governmental and regulatory authorities; - Excellent Azerbaijani and English; Russian is an advantage; - Strong judgment, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
