Homeroom Teacher

- Get to know each student in the homeroom; ​ - Be available and approachable, setting tones of friendship; - Encourage students to feel “important” and to be moral persons; - Monitor behavior, advize and encourage observance of the School Policies;​ - Be knowledgeable of pupil services programs offered by the school; - Keep accurate records of attendance; ​ - Take notice of each student’s report and academic progress;​ - Write comments (logs) regarding student`s progress and behavior on a weekly basis; - Give feedback to the Administration when issues of importance have been discussed; - Dialogue with Administration, Parents, or with the student’s other teachers when there is concern; ​ - Report any student with a pattern of late arrival; - Report to the Psychologist any student with a pattern of behavior problems. Background: - Bachelor`s degree is a must; - 1+ years of experience as a teacher; - Proficiency in spoken and written english; - Experience in working at International/English speaking schools is a plus. Skills and abilities: - Excellent subject and curriculum knowledge; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Strong organizational and time-management skills; - Positive attitude; - Critical thinking; - Creativity; - Effective classroom management; - Teamwork skills.
